Italy has long been a favourite among travellers with its rich cultural heritage, exquisite cuisine, and historical cities. While often seen as a romantic getaway, it may surprise many that Italy is also an excellent choice for family vacations. According to the 2025 reports, based on annual surveys from over 2,200 international travel advisors, Italy emerged as a family-friendly travel destination worldwide, solidifying its status as a must-visit on any bucket list of destinations.
What makes Italy the best family vacation destination?
Tuscany, for instance, offers families a chance to explore Renaissance art and architecture amid stunning landscapes. The region boasts over 100 wineries, many providing family-friendly activities to keep children entertained while parents savour local wines, with options ranging from grape stomping to petting zoos and treasure hunts.
